Trains on Main is an interactive public art project located in Waxhaw, North Carolina. The idea of several local business owners and residents, the town’s main street committees and staff were able to come together to make the idea a reality!

The project began in early 2022 and will be unveiled on July 11, 2025 during Waxhaw’s annual Jammin’ by the Tracks Concert and to kick-off Downtown Waxhaw’s Indie Retail Weekend. The project includes 12 3D-printed train cars and a train station. Each car represents a train that would have made its way through downtown Waxhaw.
